A Forest is for rest- Visual Nature Poem

This piece looks at the many ways a forest supports life. It is a place for shade, shelter, movement, growth and quiet observation. Each layer holds something, from the soil to the canopy.

It ends with a simple thought. A forest is for rest.

This work comes from a hope that forests are seen as essential to life, not as spaces waiting to be replaced. A hope that they are cared for by those who value them, and that more of us form a close, everyday relationship with the forests around us.
