Humpback whale- Childhood in the wild
Product Details
Humpback Whale calves swim close to their mothers, positioning themselves slightly to the side in what is known as the echelon position. By moving through the water first, the mother reduces resistance, allowing the calf to conserve energy as it keeps pace during long swims.
This artwork is part of the series Childhood in the Wild, a collection of watercolor illustrations that explore how young ones grow in the natural world.
